We love singing!
It ignites our passions, unblocks our hearts, washes away our worries, makes us laugh and cry... the physical, mental and emotional benefits are massive. Oh, and it sounds great too.
Come and join The Dulcetones to blow away your life cobwebs with a blast of endorphins and some seriously beautiful music. We sing a vintage-inspired collection of classic tunes and unusual treats, covering lots of different styles and eras.
We meet on Thursday evenings and now also on Tuesday mornings - take your pick! You'll learn original a cappella arrangements, lovingly crafted exclusively by our twisted choir starter Sarah Tohill.
You don't have to be able to read music at all - with access to downloadable online guide tracks to make learning your parts fun and easy, you can practice any time and anywhere you like.
Everybody is hard-wired to sing, so fear not. You'll also get coaching on good vocal technique to help you get the most out of your voice, to connect and to set it free.. And you'll be learning in a fabulously fun and friendly atmosphere. We're a sociable bunch with plenty of post-choir pints, parties and get togethers.
You'll even get the chance to show off your skills at performances (if you choose to! no pressure...). which so far have included the Kemptown Carnival, The Spiegeltent, Hotel Pelirocco, St Ann's Well Gardens Festival, Fiery Food Festival, An Evening With The Dulcetones and our first sell out Fringe Festival show CHOIROLOGY at The Warren. We've also featured as a session choir on various professional recordings (with more in the pipeline...)

In aid of Grassroots Suicide Prevention
Make this Christmas a soulful one with a night of live music and some of Brighton’s most-loved DJs, all in aid of local suicide prevention charity, Grassroots.
Bringing you a specially selected set of festive bangers, Soulful Christmas features a live, full-band performance from the incorrigible Sarah Tonin (Derriere), Dale Shockness (Fat 45), and Siggi Mwasote (Lakuta), with epic backing vocals from Brighton’s sassiest leopard print-clad superchoir, The Dulcetones. But the evening doesn’t stop there: Spinning some of the finest soul, funk, RnB, ‘60s garage, hip-hop, northern, rock’n’roll and tinsel titty shakers, expect a dance-the-night-away DJ smorgasbord from:
Neil Sick (Stay Sick)
Craig ‘Swifty’ Simpson
Sam Burgess (The Mutts)
Colmando (Radio 4a)
Sñr Mick (Whisky Preachin’)
100% of profits from ticket sales will go directly to Brighton suicide prevention charity Grassroots. They - and we - believe that no-one should have to contemplate suicide alone. Through training, signposting and innovation they help save lives by enabling the kind of conversation that really makes the difference.
