It ignites our passions, unblocks our hearts, washes away our worries, makes us laugh and cry... the physical, mental and emotional benefits are massive. Oh, and it sounds great too.
Come and join The Dulcetones to blow away your life cobwebs with a blast of endorphins and some seriously beautiful music. We sing a vintage-inspired collection of classic tunes and unusual treats, covering lots of different styles and eras. We meet on Thursday evenings 6-7.30pm in central Brighton. You'll learn original a cappella arrangements, lovingly crafted exclusively by our twisted choir starter Sarah Gardner. You don't have to be able to read music at all - with access to downloadable online guide tracks to make learning your parts fun and easy, you can practice any time and anywhere you like. Everybody is hard-wired to sing, so fear not. You'll also get coaching on good vocal technique to help you get the most out of your voice, to connect and to set it free.. And you'll be learning in a fabulously fun and friendly atmosphere. We're a sociable bunch with plenty of post-choir pints, parties and get togethers. You'll even get the chance to show off your skills at performances (if you choose to! no pressure...). which so far have included the Kemptown Carnival, The Spiegeltent, Hotel Pelirocco, St Ann's Well Gardens Festival, Fiery Food Festival, multiple ‘Evenings With The Dulcetones’ and our first sell out Fringe Festival show CHOIROLOGY at The Warren. We've also featured as a session choir on various professional recordings (with more in the pipeline...) and written and released our very own Christmas single in the middle of the pandemic! At a glance..
